I'd already tried the big budget management apps. Too complex. Too many bank connections. Too much AI "analysing" on my behalf.
What I wanted: log an expense in 5 seconds, see where my money goes, and never hand over my bank credentials to an app. And above all — something fully customisable, with metrics that actually make sense. It didn't exist. So I built it.
Finixa is the app I use every single day since I created it.
The questions we all have.
How is this different from Bankin or other bank-sync apps?
Those apps connect directly to your bank and import everything automatically. Finixa works differently: you enter your expenses yourself. It's a deliberate choice — the act of noting a transaction builds financial awareness that automation doesn't.
Why no bank connection?
Privacy first. But more importantly: automatic apps create distance from your money. You're looking at a report, not your spending. Manual entry is uncomfortable at first — and that's precisely why it works.
Is my data secure?
Your data is stored on Supabase (secure infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest). No banking data is collected since there's no bank connection.
Is the app available on Android?
Finixa is a mobile-first web app, accessible from any modern browser — iOS, Android, or desktop. No download required.
Is it really free?
Yes. Completely free, with no time limit. No paid plan is planned — the goal is for Finixa to stay accessible to everyone.
What if I stop tracking for a month?
The app doesn't judge. Recurring transactions keep appearing automatically. CSV import lets you catch up by uploading your bank statement for the missed period.
Something missing?
A bug, an idea, or fancy getting your hands in the code — all welcome.
